Prostitution Charges
Representation from an Orange County Criminal Lawyer
In the state of California, there is very little tolerance for
criminal acts that are associated with prostitution. Under §647 of the 2010 California
Penal Code, this extends to include both those who engage in prostitution
and those who participate in solicitation. These are all considered to
be misdemeanors, however, the penalties are nothing to laugh at. For a
first time conviction, you would be at risk of up to six months of incarceration
and/or a monetary fine that extends up to $1000.
